Connor Oberst fans are raging this fine Thursday. Today, our friends over at Saddle Creek Records announced the release of Bright Eyes reissues starting March 8 with Bright Eyes' 1998 debut release, A Collection of Songs Written. Other reissues to be expected are Recorded 1995-1997 and the 2001 split EP with Son, Ambulance, Oh Holy Fools - The Music of Son, Ambulance and Bright Eyes.

Releasing on April 3, Saddle Creek will also be reissuing 1998's Letting Off the Happiness, on top of 1999's Every Day and Every Night EP. The last batch of reissue will be released on May 1, of 2000's classic Fevers and Mirrors, as well as 2002's There Is No Beginning to the Story EP.

Dr. Dog has released the official music video for their track "That Old Black Hole" off the new forthcoming LP Be The Void (out February 7 via Anti-). "That Old Black Hole" is a great catchy rock song by the guys, and really highlights the Dr. Dog's persona. Watch the video as the band showcases their band's Dr. Dog beanies (if you caught them at show last year, you might've bought one from merch), a stack of pizza boxes, and what might be expected from a Dr. Dog band practice session.

The Shins have released a new single "Simple Song" and are offering it up as free stream. As the first single from their eagerly anticipated fourth album Port Of Morrow, it gives fans that familiar and beloved sound from the band but is pleasing and "new" enough to gain a new round of listeners. The long awaited follow-up to 2007's Grammy-nominated gold-certified Wincing The Night Away, Port Of Morrow will be released March 20 via James Mercer's own Aural Apothecary label and Columbia Records. Digital pre-orders of Port Of Morrow will receive first single "Simple Song" beginning January 10. iTunes pre-orders will also include the non-LP B-side "Pariah King" upon release.

The first set of tour dates in support of the new album are listed below, more tour dates to be announced in the coming weeks. As with the band's 2011 dates, the upcoming tour will see James Mercer leading a Shins lineup of Yuuki Matthews (bass), Jessica Dobson (guitar), Richard Swift (keyboards) and Joe Plummer (drums). Sacred Bones and Zola Jesus have announced that they are to collaborate with David Lynch in 2012. To kick the collaborations, Sacred Bones released Lynch's Remix of the Zola Jesus track “In Your Nature”. The track will be available February 21 digitally and on 7" vinyl. Known for its singular visual aesthetic, Sacred Bones is sure to make this an impressive curated project with Zola Jesus David Lynch.

Mr. Lynch was presented with a copy of Zola Jesus’ 2011 release, Conatus, and handpicked this track to remix. He rebuilt the track from scratch keeping only her signature vocals in tact; replacing the tension building strings with delicately crafted guitar and drum parts, written and performed by himself and engineer Dean Hurley. What was once a dance track becomes a lurching, cinematic masterpiece. Later on in the year, Sacred Bones is also set to reissue a deluxe vinyl version of Lynch’s Eraserhead soundtrack.
