The Videograss is Greener
By Evan LeFebvre
Headed up by Mikey LeBlanc, Darrell Mathes, Nima Jalali and Lance Hakker, Videograss is the latest power-move addition to the world of snowboard filmmaking. Mikey, Darrell and Nima are all pro snowboarders; Mikey also being the co-owner of Holden Outerwear; and Nima and Lance being co-owners of Ashbury Eyewear, just to give you some background info.
Snow has yet to fall, and this new crew is already making life a lot harder for other production teams trying to stay afloat. I caught up with Videograss’ frontman, Nima Jalali, who will be calling shots (as well as bagging them), to see just how the grass is growing.
We know the rider list is always in progress till you start shooting, but who are you working with right now?
Myself, LNP, Louie Paradise, Ben Bilocq, Darrell Mathes, Mikey LeBlanc, Aaron Biittner, Justin Bennee, Nick Dirks, Jonas Michilot and there are gonna be some big surprise names that I really can’t mention right now. Stay tuned.
How’s this project gonna differ from the other flicks on the shelf next fall?
It’s just gonna be the real deal man, no bull—just pure, raw snowboarding. And I think we’ve picked the perfect snowboarders to be a part of this—straight G Code!
The Videograss site is still in the works, but for the latest info check out www.ashburyeyewear.com.
