Black Gold played the final show of their US tour with Polysics and Jaguar Love at the Glass House in Pomona, CA last Friday night. The room held a mix of costume-clad Polysics super fans and locals, out for a night of good music, who danced along with the Brooklyn , NY band from start to finish. The set list included “Plans and Reveries”, “Idols” and “ Detroit ” from their EP, Tragedy and Legacy.

It’s usually the responsibility of the opening band to get the crowd warmed up for the next act. For Eric Ronick and Than Luu, it seemed like more of a style than a duty. Black Gold’s fast paced music and a high energy performance made them a great fit for a tour with Polysics and Jaguar Love. We’re looking forward to the band’s full length album, Rush, set for release in early February and also a new tour sometime down the road.
