REV UP: Have an “In” With the Latest on a Black Lips Band Member

Black Lips' guitarist Ian St. P é has been pretty busy these days.

Saint Pé is a member of the newly formed Diamond Rugs featuring members from Deer Tick and Los Lobos. Diamond Rugs' self-titled debut has the guys making a rock and roll record that makes a "great soundtrack for driving down back roads drinking a sixer of Bud." The album will be released spring 2012 via Partisan Records.

Meanwhile, St. Pé is recording a solo record in Atlanta under the project name theFixedFocus. Watch below as theFixedFocus strums on his guitar and entertains a barrage of women in his Cadillac in the video for "Movin On Up."

WATCH: The Black Lips Dig “Raw Meat”

The Black Lips have released yet another amusing music video, for their track "Raw Meat." Although you might expect to see some raw specimens, the case is not so.

The video is set in a city where cops run amok whilst singing and whistling in their patrol car. The Black Lips reveal a black and white music video too great you wish it were longer than two and a half minutes because if it were, the antics surrounding the cops would evolve and get better. Take the jump to see what happens!

Don't miss a special LIVE PERFORMANCE by these Southern gentle-punks at the next TOYOTA ANTICS event in Miami for Art Basel! Expect some Special Disco times, and more at Grand Central (697 North Miami Avenue, Miami, FL). RSVP Here.

RECAP: TOYOTA ANTICS Takes Over House of Vans

RECAP: TOYOTA ANTICS Takes Over House of Vans

Following a snowy Halloween weekend, TOYOTA Antics rolled into Brooklyn Tuesday night to kick off November the right way with a free party at House of Vans.

LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy and Pat Mahoney headlined the event with their project Special Disco Version, while the likes of Juan Maclean and Midnight Surfer DJ'd to get the crowd moving early in the night.

Party looking full, as per usual.

Drinks were flowing thanks to Sailor Jerry, Sapporo and Bear Flag, while partygoers enjoyed a free photobooth, t-shirt station, fortune teller, and the Yaris "It's a Car!" vintage game show set-up where one skilled attendee won an iPad. As the night closed out with a mass sing-along to Talking Heads "This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody)", it became clear the Brooklyn crowd had bonded over party Antics and, of course, special disco love.

Check uptheantics.com to find parties coming your way and enjoy photos from the night below.
